STAR-MS clinical trial (2020–2024): evaluation of efficacy and safety of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (aHSCT) versus high-efficacy disease-modifying therapies (Ocrelizumab, Alemtuzumab, Cladribine, Ofatumumab) in multiple sclerosis (MS), including investigation of underlying immunological mechanisms.

 

Collaborations: University of Florence (2020–2021) and IRCCS Policlinico San Martino, Genoa (2019), focusing on identification of T- and B-cell subsets associated with disease activity and remission following aHSCT in aggressive MS.

 

FISM Research Grant (2016–2019): study of cytotoxic T-cell responses to Epstein–Barr virus cross-reacting with myelin antigens in MS.
